Another Reason To Celebrate!!!!!

In Mexico there is always something to celebrate, birthdays;anniversaries;graduation;marriage,  etc but I was asked to attend a Baby Shower for “Diego”.  I do not remember the last time I went to a baby shower, probably my own some 24 years ago.  I really have no idea?

I was so excited, to be included to celebrate the birth of their first child, a boy.  I knew from attending a few other celebrations in Mexico, that there would be lot’s of people and food.  I was correct,  although we were the first to arrive (half hour late), soon the crowd of family and friends mingled happily.  The event took place this past Saturday (Sabado) afternoon and the weather was perfect, plus 28.  I did not know what to expect, do we sit around and talk, are there games, can we open all the gifts, when do we eat?  Soon my questions were put to rest and the games began.  Competing teams, men against women which is really not fair since the women will win hands down!!!!!! A few fun games which all enjoyed and lot’s of laughter.

Then out came the food ……….. tortillas, mole negro con pollo, frijoles, cicharron, agua de jamaica. Yum yum yum!  The mole negro was delicious, however I seriously need to cut back on the tortillas!

For me the best part was watching the people, talking and of course taking photo’s.  that’s my passion, let me “capture the moment”.  So here are a few photo’s,  of a fun afternoon.
